Klint have been quietly pulling it together over the past few years or so.The Black, Blue, and Orange vinyl only EP's have been making waves with those in the know and sales have been growing at and alarming rate as the word spreads. There are very strong musical influences on display here - Tom Waits, Aphex Twin, Beach Boys, Sonic Youth, Ennio Morricone and Nick Drake - Klint's method of making music using traditional acoustic instruments and lo-fi production tricks make these great songs really intriguing. From the opener 'Closer', which featured on the brilliant 'Music For Dreams' compilation recently to the superb 'Atlantic Spaceham Blues' with it's folk tinged lyrics and shuffle beats, to the bluesy, salsa of 'The Mess We're In' with it's messed up vocals, and periodic drum machine loops, to the masterfully understated punk rockers of 'Makes You Well' and 'Partykiller' there are too many highlights here to mention them all! Klint had 2 tracks on the Snatch movie soundtrack (including the stunning 'Diamond'), and were the guest DJ's for the film premiers in L.A and London.
