Raiz De Pedra is a band from Rio Grande do Sul in Southern Brazil. The band formed in the 80's in Porto Alegre with Pedro Tagliani playing acoustic and electric guitar, Márcio Tubino on flute and saxophone, and César Audi on drums.
The band has some albuns released in the US, Japan and specially Europe, where they were best succeeded. In 1989 the Pictures album was recorded on Germany, followed by Diário de Bordo album in 1996, the former with Egberto Gismonti on piano and arranges. On their tours they also counted on Severino (Sivuca) Dias de Oliveira and João Gilberto.
