The Romancers has been played on NTS shows including Los Hitters, with She Took My Oldsmobile first played on 31 October 2023.

1 Bobby Freeman started singing in a doo-wop group called The Romancers when he was 14. In 1956 the quintet managed to get onto Dootone Records and had two singles released on the label, including the rocker "House Cat". Freeman was only 17 when he wrote and recorded his first hit, "Do You Want To Dance"
