There are two (2) artists by the name Pat Johnson.
(1)Pat Johnson is a San Francisco based recording artist best known for his work with former Avenger Penelope Houston on her solo albums, including the classics Crazy Baby (1994) and Pale Green Girl (2004). He has released four albums under his own name- Mooner (1994), Invisible Juan (1996), Famous Butterflies (2004) and October Moon- a re-issue of Mooner by DBK Works (2005).
Johnson's first recorded solo work was as The Wellsprings of Hope, which was released on Safety Net records in 1991. Previous to this he appears on albums and singles by The Chant, Royal Trux, Penelope Houston, and Charlie Pickett and the MC3.
Pat now performs frequently as a solo acoustic artist, and occaisionally fronts LOUT!, a quintet featuring various San Francisco musicians. He is lead guitarist in the Bay Area's premiere bar band, The Highway Robbers. He has also filled in as rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist with Dave Gleason's Wasted Days and The Michael Therieau Band.
In early 2011, Pat recorded a new album of songs with Penelope Houston called On Market Street. They plan to tour Europe in summer with a full band.
(2)Pat Johnson is a Canadian Singer-Songwriter following in the tradition of Warren Zevon and Jackson Brown, mixing acoustic and electric sounds, singing about everyday life, the environment, and cultural shifts such as the slow force out of small business by big retail. Albums include "Songs from the Town Boredom Built" (2003) and "Pitchin' Day" (2006).
