There are two bands named The Magnetix.
A garage rock band from Bordeaux, France.
A psychobilly band from Tula, Russia.
After some experiences with surf music, and then playing alone in various musical genres with bands like Catchers, Hero X'S, the pitiless Looch Vibrato made use of his crazy talents ,(not lacking in vice), to corrupt innocent creatures, his weapon of choice being rock'n'roll. He captured his prey- Aggy Sonora in 1998. But the innocent charm of Miss Sonora quickly lets her appear as a Queen of the Bad Beat and the primitive concerts of the years 1950-60. Out of this unhealthy magic from The Magnetix (Looch Vibrato, Guitar /Aggy Sonora, drums) will come a new expression - " Rock Monster". Noticed by the label Yakisakana, The Magnetix joins groups who are in the same mood cleaning punk garage hi-fi music with carsher to get a radical sound - needles in the red, lessens that crackle and guitars that crack. No one can deny that during this period, the gories/oblivians gave birth to thousands of groups without bass guitars,so how could The Magnetix make their own mark? First of all, thanks to their skillfulness to combine all sorts of influences - the most evident being Mummies or Music Machines, as well as more complex ones like Dean Carter - (imagine that The Sonics is a rockabilly group, or that Hasil Adkins sang for a day with The 13th Floor Elevators!). Besides, to the breadth of a personal musical touch, mixing systematic improvisation with pieces already existing,The Magnetix knows how to offer excessive, always different shows, and also how to preserve an original freshness and an inalterable power. At last, a personality out of the ordinary, inducing the Duet towards a Wild Trash Duel ,with melodies on a razor's edge, and towards the punctuated provocation of disposals Fuzz, abrasive riffs, the rhythm of Looch « Set up It » Vibrato ,articulated by the powerful, minimal drums and enchanting beat' from Aggy Sonora.
