On 14 November 2025, julie was a guest on Olivia O.. julie has been played on NTS shows including Mount Analog w/ Mahssa, with Flutter first played on 21 February 2024.

julie is an American shoegaze band from Los Angeles, signed with Atlantic Records. julie, originating from Orange County, California, began in 2020, independently releasing several singles that garnered early support for the band, including “flutter,” one of the band's most successful tracks to date. A year after their single run, the group released their debut EP titled pushing daisies.

In 2022, julie released a joint (non-album) single titled pg.4 a picture of three hedges/through your window. Following this, they would play in various live venues, debuting past and new unreleased material, such as “tenebrist”, “thread, stitch”, “very little effort”, and “clairbourne practice”.

Nearing the end of 2023, julie would begin the official rollout for their (then unnamed) debut album, with “catalogue” releasing in September. Along with this, the latter two tracks they played live, “very little effort” and “clairbourne practice”, would release in July and August of 2024.

In 2024, the group announced their debut full-length album, my anti-aircraft friend, to release on 13th September via Atlantic Records. The group was named ‘One to Watch’ by The Guardian and has become highly influential among shoegaze and grunge bands.
