Peter Alexander (* June 30, 1926 as Peter Alexander Ferdinand Maximilian Neumayer in Vienna; † February 12, 2011 in Vienna; also known under the pseudonym Alexander Neuenhauser) was an Austrian singer, actor, pianist, impersonator, and entertainer. From the mid-1950s to the mid-1990s, he was one of the most popular entertainers in the German-speaking world. Between 1952 and 1972, he appeared in around fifty film comedies and forty of his own TV shows, and he recorded approximately 120 albums. From 1969 to 1996, he had his own television show series, including the Peter Alexander Show.
