Andrew Vanwyngarden born February 1st, 1983, is the lead singer of the group MGMT.
In 2014, Andrew released 2 studio recorded songs, one titled, "I Just Knew" he wrote for the Spirit of Akasha Soundtrack, the other titled, "I'm Alive", a cover originally written by Peter Howe for the Morning of The Earth Reimagined Soundtrack
In 2005, Andrew was still a student at Wesleyan University, and with classmate Ethan Leinwand, they recorded the song Supervolcano for an Earth & Earth Science class: "Hazardous Earth: Stuff That Will Kill You."
