1) Somerset is a rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who takes their influence from like-minded Midwestern indie / emo rock / post-hardcore outfits such as Hey Mercedes and Braid. The band formed in September 2002 and self-released their debut EP shortly after, 2003's This Thought Process. A September 2003 recording studio session eventually resulted in a three-song EP put out on the Midwest-based I Ate Her Records. The band signed with fledgling label Punknews Records in 2005, and released their debut full-length, Pandora in August of that year.Somerset features guitarist / vocalist Forrest Olsen, guitarist JT Viele, drummer Claudio Rivera and bassist Matt Broadbent. Rivera and former guitarist Michael Warren were members of the now-defunct band Flipsyde.
2) Somerset is a indie-pop and synthpop band from Elista, Russia. Their first EP was released on February 10th, 2017, although the band was formed in November of 2016. Currently known members are Ruslan De (producer) and Natalya Grishkina (vocals). Status of Angira Boldyreva (vocals), Nastya Jambinova (vocals) and Sanal Manjiev (guitar) as members is unknown.
