ALEMEDA debuted her single ‘Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows,’ in 2021, which went viral on TikTok and has received over 5 million streams on Spotify to date. Her second single, ‘Post Nut Clarity,’ also went viral on TikTok and has garnered over 2 million streams since its release earlier this Summer 2022. 
 But tapping into this musical talent and social media exposure hasn’t been an easy journey for the young emerging artist. Growing up between Ethiopia and Arizona, the East African-American starlet was raised in a stern household with strict religious rules and customs, which included the restriction of any music and/or television. During her childhood, ALEMEDA would discover music by sneaking onto her family’s clock radio, which led to her also discovering her own vocal talent. Through her growing pains, ALEMEDA developed her passion for singing by writing her thoughts and experiences in her personal diary as well as participating in talent show performances and posting covers on YouTube and Instagram before TikTok. 
 Pulling inspiration from her favorites including Coldplay, Maroon 5, Artic Monkeys, Rihanna and Bruno Mars, ALEMEDA turned her diary into lyrics and sounds that fans and listeners find relatable and refreshing. This self-reflective, unapologetic and vulnerable journey has allowed ALEMEDA to shape her personal and unique sound, appealing to a wide and diverse audience.
