Jimmy Pé is slovak electronic music producer, co-founder of GERGAZ NETLABEL and member of The Global Optimistic.
Jimmy Pé (also Jimmy Pe(é), Jimmy Pe(e)), GLGN and jablkonosic run an independent net label Gergaz which broaden first-rate electronic music from the Eastern Europe and other regions for free. They also release their own records there, for example GLGN's debut EP Shadow of My Future Self exquisitely imbibe dubstep, wonky, the sound of the label Ninja tune and old trip-hop, far from a possibility of emulating anyone. Jimmy Pé is likely kindred, perhaps he tends to make even more broody beats. If we had to answer the question who is better in poising on the edge of dark and positive beats, if would be a tough call. Together and seperated, they are like Anakin changing to Darth Vader.
Jimmy Pé's EPs Road to unknown and The Passengers were released on Gergaz [GNL003] and [GNL016] as a free download.
GLGN & Jimmy Pe(é) are two representatives of Gergaz Netlabel, who debuted with solo EP’s few years ago. Right now, they’re working on a joint project, which they would like to present at their upcoming shows. GLGN mostly takes care of samples from laptop while Jimmy’s more into keyboard sounds. Noone accompanies anybody, they both play together as GLGN and Jimmy Pe(é) and also as The Global Optimistic, their current project.
