The Gates Of Eden

The Gates Of Eden has been played on NTS in shows including Acid Memories w/ Astral Vibes, featured first on 10 July 2024. Songs played include No One Was There.

USA 60s band. "No One Was There/Elegy" (1967). UK 60s band. Almost nothing is known of this band, who were signed to Pye Records and took their name from a Bob Dylan song, but weren't above covering "Snoopy vs. the Red Baron" (or the Kinks' "Too Much on My Mind," while we're at it). At their best, they were enthusiastic soul stompers with a degree of charisma but no real identity of their own on which to build a fandom beyond the clubs where they were popular. They disbanded in 1967 after releasing their third and final single. (by Bruce Eder) 45s: Too Much On My Mind/I'm Warning You (1966) Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron/In Your Love (1967) 1 To 7/Hey Now (1967)
