Joaquim Barreiros, better known as Quim Barreiros, was born in Vila Praia de Âncora in the north of Portugal. He is a popular Portuguese songwriter-singer. Most of his lyrics are composed with metaphors and ambiguous words about sexual suggestions, making him an icon of the pimba genre. Sporting a thirty-year-old career, he is now one of the biggest folk singers of Portuguese, having released countless song hits and more than twenty albums. His most recent album is "Use Álcool".
