How Do I was founded in 1987 on the remnants of bands such as Én-gule-ét, Critical Mass and The Gallery of How Do I, and consisted of Peter Fjeldberg (also Double Muffled Dolphin), Anders Remmer (later of Jet, Dub Tractor, Sølvpil, System, Future 3 and People Press Play fame), Thomas Bo Jensen, Jesper Arentoft and Hans Holten Hansen (also a respected poet and later sometimes bass player for Nikolaj Nørlund and Olesen-Olesen).

Their noisy pop music gradually evolved into discreet and lofty electro pop during the course of their career spanning the albums "Rainfakedrumfake", "Submarine", "Pluto" and "Super". While commercial succes almost completely eluded them, How Do I remains one of the most influential Danish bands of the 80's and 90's.
