Renaldo & Clara is a Catalan indie pop band from Lleida led by the composer and singer Clara Viñals.
The band's name refers to Renaldo & Clara, a 1978 documentary film directed by and starring Bob Dylan.
They began their career by releasing an eponymous EP in 2009, with references to the most minimalist pop, the British folk of the 1970s and the Donosti sound, and surprised with subtle songs but loaded with details.
In 2012 they released another EP titled Lilà with the Madrid label Elefant Records.
In 2014 they released their first LP, titled Fruits del teu bosc, and in 2017 their second LP titled Els afores, finalist for the MIN de la Música Independent award in the category of Best Album of the Year.
L'Amor fa calor, released in September 2020, represents the definitive rise of their career: confidence, daring and evolution in a work that features new songs with highly original lyrics that oscillate between disarming honesty and the most stinging irony.
