Aria Junior was known as a female-band (although the drummer was a male) from Indonesia that formed in 70s and and peak their popularity from 70s to 80s. Most of the member were came from Arifin Family; Ani Arifin (guitarist), Lies Arifin (bassist), Shanty Arifin (keyboards) and Rudy Arifin (drummer). While the vocalist position had occurred several times turnover. Among others are Dian Anggraini and Dewi Yul. They were also known as a winner of "Festival Band Wanita Se-Indonesia 1975" (Indonesian Woman Band Festival) at TVRI, number two after Pretty Sisters. Although their albums were considered as pop albums, but they were also playing rock songs while performed on stage, such as the song from Queen and Deep Purple. There are a lot of their songs that written by famous singers and song-writers in Indonesia. Such as: "Pulang Ke Desa" that written by Titik Hamzah, bassist of Dara Puspita; and "Geregetan" that written by singer Titiek Puspa.

The guitarist Ani Arifin is a mother of Nissa Hamzah, a female bass player for Omelette and bass-soloist as well; and Rian Hamzah, a guitarist for Omelette too.
