There are 2 artists with the name Firecracker. 1.) The band Firecracker started some years ago and is the brainchild of Stefan Lindholm (Vindictiv). Before Vindictiv was formed Stefan contacted keyboard maestro Pontus Larsson and they started to work on some of the songs he had laid down. With bass player Fredrik Folkare (Unleached) and Hasse Worzel on drums the band took shape. Vocalist Tommy Karevik (Seventh Wonder) took care of the vocal duties and the basis of Firecracker came to a reality.
Musically the band is everything you would expect and more from Sweden.
2.)
Firecracker is a four piece punk band from Baltimore, MD consisting of 3 members of the band We Are Blackbirds. They will be releasing their debut 7" "Magpie" in 2013.
3.)
Firecracker was a shoegaze/dreampop band from Arizona whose flame burned out after a short-lived 18 months together. They played only a handful local shows, including the first Beautiful Noise fest in 1993. Their sound reflected their admiration of UK groups Levitation, Pale Saints, and Cocteau Twins, but what made them unique was the hands-on-fire rhythm section and lilting vocals.
