Juan Mari Beltran was first played on NTS on 8 December 2024. Songs played include Makil Dantza and Lo Kanta.

For his career we can consider him researcher, developer and one of the most important figures of Basque folk music. From a young age he was immersed in music, first playing clarinet and soon txistu and being responsible to collect the baton from the previous generation of popular musicians. As txalapartari took part with his brother and brothers Bixente Artze Basque school of art created by Jorge Oteiza in the 60, kicking off the new era of txalaparta, based on traditional txalaparta. He has participated in groups such as Contemporary Music Group, who founded the painter Rafael Ruiz Balerdi and created Sustraiak groups, Azala and txanbela. He has also formed an artistic partnership with Joxan Goikoetxea.
