The Messengers can refer to more than one artist.
1) The Messengers were a 60s Soul/R&B vocal group signed to the Motown Label. They are best known for their hit "California Soul."
2) The Messengers were an American dream pop band formed in 1990. Members have included Jack Sobel, John Kolbek, Lauren Fay, James Fairey and Scott Patton. Sobel and Kolbek were the only constant members. Their final album, 2005's "Abundant Sunshine," included contributions from Mark Burgess & Kwasi Asante. Following the 2006 dissolution of The Messengers, Sobel formed Black Swan Lane in conjunction with many of the aforementioned collaborators.
3) The Messengers were a 00s female fronted street punk band from Cincinnati, Oh. They were a melodic, mid-tempo band on Punk Core Records. Shannon - Vocals, Don - Guitar, Bryan - Bass, Ben - Drums. They split in the summer of 2007.

3) The Messengers from UK supported Ultravox on most of their tours and are comprised of Danny Mitchell and Colin King. Danny has also had a writing partnership with Midge Ure for many years, co-penning a surprising number of his hits. Tragically they never accepted a record deal in the 1980's, but spurred on by fan interest, Messengers have finally completed and recorded a wonderful album, It's Been Twenty Years, Let's Try Turning Up the Volume.
4) The Messengers are Finnish rock band.
