Shining Star is a Brazillian Christian neo-classical melodic power metal band that was formed in 1999 under the original name of Fabio Rocha's Shining Star. In the year 2000 they released their debut full length album Fatal Mistake on Megahard Records.

Following Fatal Mistake, Fabio removed his name from the band name and reformed his band, adding American vocalist Lance King. In 2005 the band released their sophmore effort Enter Eternity on Nightmare Records.
