Souvlaki

Souvlaki has been played on NTS in shows including Bradley Zero Presents: Rhythm Section, featured first on 5 February 2025. Songs played include Inferno (Fired Up Mix).

Inspired by 70’s Disco, 80’s Hip Hop and House, Souvlaki is the pseudonym of Mark Summers - the DJ/Producer/Recording artist who launched Scorccio Records in July 1996.

From the early 90’s he went from being a sound engineer to a top UK dance producer. He inspired The Prodigy to release their first hit (they used to watch him DJ), he’s worked with Jocelyn Brown, Malcolm McLaren, Aphex Twin and 1999 Mercury Music Prize Winner - Talvin Singh.

The high speed rapped “Inferno” was released in 40 countries, reached number 24 in the UK national chart and appeared on the Ministry Of Sound’s 850,000+ selling “Annual 2” album.

The follow-up "My Time" features a mad evangelical preacher discovered by Mark on a DJ tour of the USA.
