Axolotl

Axolotl

Axolotl has been played on NTS in shows including Adam Oko, featured first on 27 January 2014. Songs played include Way Blank, Untitled and Illiaster.

A ) Axolotl is the project of Karl Bauer, active between 2002 and 2009. Based in Brooklyn and San Francisco, the band has included William Sabiston (Bulbs) on percussion, as well as Brian Tester on guitar, while often collaborating with other artists such as Yellow Swans, Mouthus, Skaters, Weyes Blood, and Black Dice. Karl uses violin, vocal, and other instrumental music often by using electronic processing. http://www.myspace.com/axolotl

B) Axolotl’s Abrasive (1981) Ettiene's Brunet project with Jacques Oger on tenor and baritone saxophone, and Marc Dufourd. Oger and Brunet plays an avant-garde jazz that is also mindful of contempory music figures such as Stockhausen and Boulez. this project leans toward a percussive playing style with terse and fleeting notes and squeaks. Dubourd seems to abandon the idea of notes altogether. Brunet also plays bass clarinet on some tracks.

C) AXOLOTL is a collaborative new-wave, ambient-rock, electronic, pop project from Melbourne, Australia.

D) Axolotl is an inistrumental math rock band from Taipei, Taiwan https://axolotl2.bandcamp.com/releases
