The Beautiful Losers

The Beautiful Losers has been played on NTS in shows including The Uline Catalog w/ Calvin LeCompte, featured first on 14 March 2025. Songs played include All Is Gone, Suicide (Inside Out) and Nobody Knows The Heaven.

There are multiple artists named The Beautiful Losers:

Underground French folk band who released Nobody Knows the Heaven in 1974.

A drone/post-rock collaboration between New Zealand musicians Rustle Covini (drums, percussion), David Khan (keyboards, percussion), and Peter Wright (guitars, percussion, field recordings). An initial two hours of material was recorded from July 2002 - February 2003 and released as a self-titled, fourteen-track double CDR in 2004. A refined version of this collection, reduced down to a less unwieldy ten tracks, was released digitally in 2013 as First To The Sun.

The Beautiful Losers are the musical duo made up of singer/songwriter Raj Ramayya and guitarist Brett Boyd.  Self-described as “electro-acoustic Indian alternative rock”, The Beautiful Losers’ music focuses on vocal melodies accompanied by electric and acoustic guitars and adds elements of traditional East Indian instrumentation and world music.  TBL are influenced by artists such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, The Police, U2 and Nirvana, yet still represent the modern sound of artists like Coldplay, Nittin Sawhney, and Radiohead. TBL’s live show features Ramayya and Boyd on vocals and guitars accompanied by musicians on bass, drums, violin, and digital backtracks. Ramayya and Boyd recorded their first full-length CD in San Francisco with producer John Rewind, and it was released in Japan on March 23, 2005 by Neoplex Records and Virgin Music Japan.  The album features a host of distinguished guest artists including Pete Sears (Jefferson Starship, Rod Stewart), Habib Khan (the premier Indian sitarist in North America), Bobby Black (steel guitar virtuoso for Commander Cody and Asleep At The Wheel), and Eric Gorfain (James Blunt, Christina Aguilera, Page & Plant.
