He began as as guitarist and singer of the rock band Poll, in 1971, and ventured into a solo career in the mid-1970s. He represented Greece in 1977 Eurovision Song Contest, in London, with song ""Mathema solfege" (Μάθημα σολφέζ)", placing in 5th.
