Hughscore

Hughscore has been played on NTS shows including The Early Bird Show w/ Jack Rollo, with Lullaby first played on 25 April 2025.

Hughscore is a project uniting prominent UK bassist & composer Hugh Hopper (Soft Machine and others) with Seattle musicians Fred Chalenor (bass & guitar), Elaine di Falco (Rhodes, organ, Wurlitzer, synth, accordion & voice) (both of Caveman Shoestore) and Tucker Martine (drums) (of too many projects to list). With the help of various guest musicians, they’ve delivered three albums that mix psychedelic pop and prog with discreet jazzy accents. For 1997's High Spot Paradox, Martine participated as an engineer, with Will Dowd taking over the drum seat.
