Two known artists have used the moniker Dark Circles:
1.) 4 piece blackened crust/d-beat band from Montreal. Started in 2011. Comprised of Jamie (ex-black ships), Dave, Chris (naughty girls, in tongues), and Marc (blacklashed).
Dark Circles created probably the most harrowing, disturbing and ghastly version of blackened crust yet with insane tortured screaming for vocals and intense psychological torment/depressive lyrics built around the backbone of unrelenting d-beat/blast beats and cold, barren, desolate melodies.
Bandcamp
2.) 4 piece punk band from New Haven, Connecticut. Started in 2010. They did a 9-song demo tape (each copy with a hand-drawn cover) and a tour that year. They nominally broke up (or maybe hiatused), but they played two shows in 2011 anyways (one with all the members playing the "wrong" instruments). In Jan 2012 they recorded two more songs ("our two best" band members are reported to have said), so who's to say whether they're done or not? The legend maybe lives on….. although one member has been heard to say "Don't ask me to play Dark Circles songs ever again." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oJHJC3w__Y (only known internet documentation)
