Dumptruck has been played on NTS shows including NTS Guide to…, with Something's Burning first played on 26 April 2025.

Dumptruck, led by Seth Tiven and Kirk Swan, were college radio favourites in the mid 80s, contemporaries of bands like Miracle Legion, Game Theory and IRS-era R.E.M. Their albums include D Is For Dumptruck, Positively and their best-known, For The Country. Commercially sunk by label and legal problems, Tiven has continued to release records under the Dumptruck name.

Dumptruck was also the name of a mid-90s Sacramento, CA hardcore band led by Tony Avila.

Dumptruck was also the name of a mid-00s Boston, MA hardcore band led by Chris Morgado. Now called The Wrong Side.
