Spirit Matter

Spirit Matter has been played on NTS shows including Maximum Exposure Power Hour w/ Tony Price, with Crimes Of Passion (Drums Of Passion) first played on 14 May 2025.

Spirit Matter was formed in the year of 1986 when latin hip hop was at it's hottest soon to be dubbed freestyle music. Formerly of the hip hop group Death City Boyz two of the members Andrew Welsh on lead vocals and Fareed Abdallah aka Reed on keyboards and backup vocals co-wrote the hit single entitled "Crimes Of Passion" and wrote and produced the club smash "Betrayal". These two talented artist performed all over the New York and Miami Night club scene and gained a reputation as being the alternative freestyle group dressed in black and giving out there signature black rose. After the freestyle/latin hip hop music passed like it's Disco predecessor Spirit Matter recorded a rock/alternative ep titled "Did Love Die?" and an alternative techno/freestyle/rock combo track titled "Midnight Angel" which still have not been released to the generel public.
