Junior y su Equipo was a project of Luis Polibio Mayorga Acurio. Polibio Mayorga is a prolific Ecuadorian accordionist, organist, poet and composer born in 1944 in the city of Ambato. A pioneer of the Moog synthesizer in Tropical music. Former director and producer at the label Fadisa. He is the composer of songs such as La Minga, El Camote, Casita De Pobres, Pañuelo De Seda, Agua Loca, Ponchito De colores, Cumbia Triste, and Pepe Chupín. He currently lives in the United States.
