Matt Hughes is a Canadian musician and songwriter delivering powerful, high energy melodic rock music. Growing up in a musical family, Matt started playing drums at age 11, and by age 12 was performing in front of live audiences in his hometown in his first rock band. At age 14 Matt picked up the guitar and was quick to learn the instrument. By age 15 Matt was playing drums in his first professional touring band playing the heavy metal club circuit around Ontario Canada, all while gaining lots of experience performing and being on the road. Through the years Matt has played with many top-notch bands and artists doing countless shows in Canada and the U.S. while becoming a seasoned veteran and multi-instrumental musician and performer.

Matt has just recorded his new full length album entitled Revolution, which he is releasing one single at a time. For this new album, Matt has recruited Juno award winning and veteran Canadian recording engineer and producer L. Stuart Young. (Prince, Triumph, Sum 41, Downchild Blues Band). For this new album, Matt has also recruited the talents of some well known industry professionals including drummer Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr. Big, Black Swan), bassist Sean McNabb (Dokken, Lynch Mob, Quiet Riot), guitarist Toshiani Yanagi (guitarist for Jimmy Kimmel Live Band) and keyboardist Derek Sherinian (Joe Bonamassa, KISS, Alice Cooper, Dream Theatre).
