Few other labels can lay claim to such a foundational role in the origin myth of house music as Chicago's Trax Records. Home to, and often introducing us to, artists like Frankie Knuckles, Joe Smooth, Armando, Phuture, Marshall Jefferson, Ron Hardy, Larry Heard and many more.
