Amos & Crew was one of the "Amos" side projects of L. Voag (real name: Jim Welton) of The Homosexuals. He used the Amos pseudonym between 1980-86, most notably in Amos & Sara / Sara Goes Pop with Sara Fancy.

Amos recorded the True Tears cassette during a Japanese tour with The Work in 1982 (he played bass as a last minute replacement for Mick Hobbs). It was released on Welton's It's War Boys label.
