A multimedia artist, designer, and writer. And a friend. http://web.archive.org/web/20130624133407/http://mrobim.com/ https://soundcloud.com/oldmanual Archived bio from: http://web.archive.org/web/20150217104908/http://mrobim.com/bio.html Hello, I am Manuel Robim. I am a graduated Designer (Graphic and Web), having attended Escola Superior de Artes e Design (Caldas da Rainha, Portugal) from 2004 until 2009. I also have experience in Digital and Analog Photography, having participated in some Photography and Literary (Poetry and Storytelling) contests and exhibitions in the past few years, winning Honorable Mentions in both areas. In the beginning of 2011 I made an internship in a Photography Studio (Miguel Franco Photography), located in Lisbon, Portugal, where I was responsible for the Digital Studio and also Web Developer for the company. On midst 2011 I started working in Sound Design and Production, so I would say I'm pretty raw when it comes to Sound Design, although my previous musical studies (from 1996 until 2001) help a lot. On late 2011 I released my first book, published by Corpos Editora (Porto), entitled "Humesma". From January until April 2012 I made an Internship at FREIGOLD KONZEPT UND DESIGN, in Hamburg, Germany, under the Leonardo da Vinci program. I'm currently available as a Freelancer in Graphic and Web Design, but also as a Photographer and as a Sound Designer. I'm a proficient user regarding Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. I can also work with Ableton Live, Premiére, Dreamweaver and I know a bit of After Effects. That being said, I will learn whatever the hell I have to. I'm also currently writing film critique for the Coimbra's University newspaper "A Cabra". I can speak Portuguese (my mother tongue) and English fluently, but I can also speak some Spanish, French and a little German. I can understand most of what is said to me in Spanish and French, but German is still a bit complicated to unravel, therefore I can only understand the very basics.
