Rhosyn has been played on NTS shows including The Opera Show, with Eurydice first played on 17 May 2016.

Rhosyn is the product of Rose Dagul, a composer and producer based in Peckham, London. Growing out of the vocal and orchestral experiments of her Art College days, she has been turning heads with her unique and timeless sound, which layers elegant, theatrical strings over one of the most powerful and engaging voices in new music. Speaking about her compositions, the classically trained cellist aims to "imitate and utilise electronics, whilst still maintaing the authenticity that acoustic instruments and vocals provide".

At times recalling the vocal range and thespian sensibilities of Kate Bush, at others the introspective folk and breezy brilliance of Arthur Russell, her recordings are cut through with a rugged, assured individuality and aching loneliness. Songs seemingly build out of nothing, with vocal loops placed gently on top of each other while cello and percussion slowly sidestep in.

Elbow Of Capture, her first official release, is out on 4 March 2013 via cult arts collective / record label Blessing Force. It was recorded in the remote coastal village of Rhoscolyn – ‘where no-one would hear me for miles’ – and the sense of solitude and the strange beauty of despair is felt when listening to its tracks.
