On 28 April 2014, The Hydra was a guest on Lovebox Presents. The Hydra has been played on NTS shows including Fractal Meat On A Spongy Bone, with Carl Opland Miles Sagan first played on 16 July 2016.

The Hydra is Dimitris Papadatos' leftfield sound project. The experimentation process covers a large sound territory from techno music to kosmische and from free-form noise to atonal compositions. The main concern in this project is a juxtaposition of forms and ideas intentionally improvised, and their diffusion into a thoroughly composed outcome.
