The Goon Sax has been played on NTS in shows including Hot Mess, featured first on 24 August 2016. Songs played include Strange Light, The Chance and Boyfriend.

The Goon Sax was an indie pop trio from Brisbane, Australia. Formed in 2013, the band consisted of Riley Jones, Louis Forster and James Harrison. Forster is the son of Robert Forster, the co-founder of The Go-Betweens. The band released their debut album, Up to Anything, in 2016 on the Chapter Music label.

After releasing two more albums, We’re Not Talking (2018) and Mirror II (2021), The Goon Sax announced that they would be splitting up in July of 2022.
