Tom Nicholas

Tom Nicholas

Tom Nicholas has been played on NTS shows including If Music Presents You Need This w/ Jean-Claude, with Circulus Aquae first played on 3 September 2016.

Tom Nicholas is a Folk/Acoustic musician from Crafthole, Cornwall. Having played in a few local bands, he started playing solo at the age of 17 with a batch of self-penned songs. A lot of gigging, writing and rewriting ensued until now, a year later he released his debut EP. After proving himself over a summer of festival shows he went to April Media Productions in Plymouth to record the songs that had stood the test of time. The 5 tracks on the EP draw on contemporary folk influences and introduce use of the mandolin that's become a highlight of the live show.

What they say:

"Man and His Music has five tracks offering a reflective take on life, with the fabulous singing tone of Tom's Mandolin, which has become a highlight of his live shows." Clare Robinson, Plymouth Herald

"It’s obvious from the songs that I’ve heard from Tom that he can right a tune, his lyrics seem like they’ve been painted with a brush on to the finest canvas, they are well crafted, not only lyrically but structurally too, I see a bright future for Tom and with an EP in the works I’m looking forward to hearing much, much more."
