NTS regular Kowton has been hosting Livity Sound since 26 October 2012. Kowton is a frequent guest to NTS, appearing on various shows between 31 July 2013 and most recently on 15 October 2016. Kowton has been played on NTS over 220 times, featured on 206 episodes and was first played on 26 October 2012.

Kowton is Joe Cowton, aka Narcossist, a 25 year old from the Lake District now residing in Bristol. His music attempts to incoporate the rhythmic energy of garage, the barebones aggression of grime, and the depth and intensity of techno. His tracks have recieved support from the likes of Mary-Anne Hobbs, Kode 9, Grevious Angel, Blackdown, Ben UFO, Selector Dub-U and Rob Booth among others.

This winter expect to see a number of 12"s from Kowton, most notably Metronome on Nakedlunch Recordings, home of Breakage and TRG among others. Sunblind will finally be available via new Manchester label Mindset. There are also plans for a number of other high profile releases in the coming months, check his myspace for updates.
