Dethscalator has been played on NTS shows including Jason Kerley, with Grotto Crank first played on 20 December 2016.

Dethscalator make music that is heavy and mentally disabled that you could place somewhere between the jabbering gush of Shorty and Drunk’s With Gun's misery-grind. Other more contemporary reference points like Pissed Jeans or Mayyors could be pointed out… but I wouldn’t bother. Just listen to the record.

Dethscalator have played on bills with the likes of Swans, Pissed Jeans, Acid Mothers Temple, Fucked Up, Part Chimp, Whitehouse, Qui and Zu in the UK and in Europe. Festival appearances include the ZXZW festival in the Netherlands, Hokaben festival, and Supersonic festival in 2010.

In 2009 Dethscalator's debut release, a split LP with fellow UK noise-band Hey Colossus, was released on the acclaimed UK based Riot Season imprint. The band are currently putting the finishing touches to a new album to be released sometime late 2011/early 2012….
