There are at least five groups called The Orbits:
1 )The Orbits (also known as 'Orbits') were a punk-influenced power pop power trio from Milwaukee, WI. They existed from the mid 70s to the early 80s. It was made up of Breck Burns (guitar/vocals), Scott Krueger (bass/vocals), and Bob Wren (drums). They are prehaps best known for the 1981 single "Make the Rules". Krueger went on to play in the seminal power pop group The Shivvers.
2) Doo-wop group from Jackson, MS. Their only hit is the single "Mr. Hard Luck" (1957).
3) A rock 'n' roll group from Portage, WI that released one single in 1960.
4) A Boston synth pop band c.1980-82 best know for the local hit "7 Digits."
5) The original name of Johnny & the Hurricanes.
