Those Who Walk Away has been played on NTS in shows including Slow Hand Clutches, featured first on 31 March 2017. Songs played include First Degraded Hymn.

Those Who Walk Away is the new project of celebrated Winnipeg-based composer Matthew Patton. A graduate in Music Composition from the Manhattan School of Music, Patton’s mentors have included composers James Tenney and John Corigliano. He has collaborated with such internationally renowned artists as choreographer Paul Taylor, dancer and actor Mikhail Baryshnikov, and most recently with film director Guy Maddin, for whom he wrote and recorded new music for the 2015 Criterion DVD release of My Winnipeg.
