Wavemaker

Wavemaker

Wavemaker has been played on NTS shows including Soup To Nuts w/ babyschön, with Tunnel Of Love first played on 15 April 2017.

Wavemaker were an English duo (John Lewis and Brian Hodgson) that released two albums: Where Are We, Captain? (1975) and New Atlantis (1977). They combined layers of synthesizer (the huge, custom modular Electrophon synthesizer) with live drums and percussion (tympani, mostly) for a hybrid of electronic music and progressive rock.

Hodgson hailed from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. He was responsible for creating many sound effects for classic episodes of Doctor Who (he’s responsible for creating the infamous Dalek voices, for example).
