Go Hiyama

Go Hiyama has been played on NTS in shows including GRRL, featured first on 11 August 2016. Songs played include Embrace, Sfika (Go Hiyama Remix) and Gothic Revival.

Born in Japan. He was introduced into making techno music by the advice of older brother Jin Hiyama in 1994. His inspirations were the Artificial Intelligence series of Warp Records, YMO, Kraftwerk. He started making music in 1995. Soon he became interested in minimal music of artist like Jeff Mills, Fumiya Tanaka, Subvoice and others. He started to DJ and do live performances in 1997. His thinking for minimalism isn't confined to music. He then concentrated on architecture, alike. Being further inspired by Bau House, Mies van der Rohe, Jacques Herzog & Pierre de Meuron his tracks are constituted by all angles of various ideas(Techno, Electronica, Dub, Rock….). His tracks is later discovered by James Ruskin and makes his debut on Coda Records. After that, releases on Electracom, Maracas and Warm Up Records.
