Peter Edward Cook (17 November 1937 – 9 January 1995) was an English satirist, writer and comedian who is widely regarded as the leading figure in the British satire boom of the 1960s. He has been described by Stephen Fry as "the funniest man who ever drew breath." Cook is closely associated with an anti-establishment style of comedy that first emerged in the late 1950s.

Peter Cook is Dutch singer and songwriter Peter Kok from The Hague, The Netherlands, who had six Dutch Top 20 hits and enjoyed some modest international glory in the early 1970s as part of Greenfield & Cook. Following the split of the duo in 1974, Kok embarked on a solo career that yielded no further chart hits. He continued to use Cook as his second name, a literal translation of his real family name, Kok. He participated in the 1977 Dutch Song Contest with the song 'Pinokkio' and later moved to Chile, where he became a succesful record label executive and music entrepreneur.
