NTS aired an episode dedicated to the music of Valium Aggelein on 28 May 2020. Valium Aggelein has been played on NTS over 40 times, featured on 29 episodes and was first played on 25 May 2017.

Valium Aggelein was a side project of Californian lo-fi slowcore band Duster. The alias' debut album Dweller On The Threshold was released on cassette in 1997 by the now-defunct label Astronavigation. It came packaged inside a plastic bag with a stenciled box, handwritten note and decorative syringe.

Their second album, Hier Kommt Der Schwartze Mond, was released in 1998 on vinyl via AudioInformationPhenomena. The alias became inactive as a result of Duster's extended hiatus in 2001.

Both albums were reissued as Black Moon by Numero Group in 2020.
