Lida Husik has been played on NTS shows including SIREN, with Bad Head Day (Subtropic Cut It Up Mix) first played on 13 July 2017.

Lida Husik grew up in Washington DC. Her first single was released on a Dischord compilation called "State of the Union" under the name Red Emma. Later she moved to NYC and met producer Kramer, recording three experimental pop records for his Shimmy Disc label. In 1994 she teamed up with British electronic composer Beaumont Hannant with whom she recorded three albums, two for Astralwerks and one for Alias records.
