Joss Moog

Joss Moog has been played on NTS shows including Ben Sims Presents: Run It Red, with Oasis first played on 27 July 2017.

For DJ Bookings: c@bonheur-agency.com

Living in Paris, Joss Moog is a producer/composer who started music as a child, developing a taste for composition on different kinds of vintage synthesisers.

Listening to funk, acid jazz and hip hop, he joined several bands playing the keyboards and composing songs.

He fell in love with electronic music in the mid-90s and his own production evolved in that way. He was influenced by artists such as Bangalter, Sneak, Moodyman, Theo Parrish and so on.

He worked on different projects at the turn of the century but really got involved in house music when he met Phil Weeks (owner of Robsoul Recordings) and worked in collaboration with him. Phil gave him the opportunity to release his first well-known EP, “Room 25”. Since then, Joss has been standing up on the house music scene and he can boast a rich discography such as his other “Rooms” (26 and 27) on Robsoul and some releases and remixes on labels such as Minority, Magnetic, Maracuja, Syncrophone and Kinjo.

His musical experiments brought him to elaborate a particular sound and atmosphere that can be perceived in each and every set and production he does. “Funky enough to make it into Jackin’ house sets, hard enough to wrap around some tech, and groovy enough for those soulful types to grab on for dear life” (Terry Mathiew).

Joss is currently working on his first LP which will soon be released on Robsoul.
