Piiptsjilling is a quartet consisting of Jan Kleefstra, Romke Kleefstra, Mariska Baars (Soccer Commitee) and Rutger Zuydervelt (Machinefabriek). The band name (pronounced ‘peep-chilling’) is West Frisian (Frysk), the language of Jan Kleefstra’s poems that are accompanied by the improvisation skills of the other three musicians on guitars and vocals.
