Zak Tor Adebanwo Sten Arogundade Gaterud (born 23 October 1994), known professionally as Ecco2K, is a British-Swedish singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, model, fashion designer, and visual artist. He founded the band Krossad with Bladee in 2004 and launched his first fashion brand, Alaska, in 2007. He later worked as a designer for the Swedish footwear company Eytys. In 2013, he co-founded Drain Gang with Bladee, Thaiboy Digital, and Whitearmor. After contributing to various group projects and directing music videos, he released his debut solo album "E" in 2019, followed by the EP "PXE" in 2021 and the collaborative studio album "Crest" in 2022. Arogundade is known for his privacy and has incorporated queer themes into his creative work.
Arogundade was born in Stockholm to a Swedish mother and a British father of Nigerian descent. He spent part of his childhood in London but primarily grew up in the Hornstull district of Stockholm. His early artistic development was influenced by visual design, beginning at age five when his father introduced him to graphic software. In 2004, he became classmates with Bladee and formed the punk-oriented project Krossad, which released a demo in 2007. That year, he launched the streetwear label Alaska, managing production through online communication with manufacturers before joining Eytys as a designer.
In 2013, Arogundade adopted the alias Ecco2K and co-founded the collective Drain Gang, then called Gravity Boys. The group, which evolved from earlier projects such as Smög Boys, signed with Year0001 and frequently collaborated with Sad Boys and Yung Lean. That year, Arogundade released his early singles "Bleach," "Hold Me Down Like Gravity," and "Mirage," directing the video for the former. He released the instrumental EP "Crush Resist" in 2015 and later appeared on the Drain Gang compilation albums "D&G" (2017) and "Trash Island" (2019). He also created the fashion label g'LOSS, which produced Drain Gang merchandise.
Arogundade began performing solo sets in 2017 and appeared as a model at Paris Fashion Week the following year. He released his debut solo album "E" on 27 November 2019 after leaving his position at Eytys. Recorded across multiple cities including Stockholm, Berlin, Los Angeles, London, Falun, and Bangkok, the album was preceded by the singles "AAA Powerline" and "Fruit Bleed Juice." In 2020, he toured Europe and released music videos for the songs "Peroxide" and "Security!" He also released the singles "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" with Bladee and "Pollen," the latter featuring Swedish-language vocals.
On 31 March 2021, Arogundade released the surprise EP "PXE," accompanied by a video from artist Freddy Carrasco and produced entirely by himself. He followed with the single "Amygdala" with Bladee in January 2022, and the collaborative album "Crest" in March. The album was recorded in the Swedish countryside and received critical recognition, appearing on year-end lists from The Fader and Pitchfork. Drain Gang subsequently completed their first world tour as a collective. Arogundade left Year0001 in 2023.
In 2024, he released the collaborative single "TL;DR" with Bladee and Thaiboy Digital and performed at the Sydney Opera House. In 2025, he released the song "MAKKA" with British rapper fakemink and appeared alongside Bladee on Mechatok's "Expressions on Your Face" from the album "Wide Awake."
Arogundade's music is often described as part of Drain Gang's blend of electronic and cloud rap styles, with critics noting his distinctive vocal delivery and incorporation of atmospheric, experimental production. He has described a separation between his personal identity and his artistic persona. As a visual artist and director, he oversees most of his own music videos and has worked with other musicians, including Yves Tumor. His video work often aims to capture beauty without relying on overt visual effects.
Arogundade has increasingly included queer themes in his artistic expression, influencing Drain Gang’s appeal among LGBT listeners. Despite maintaining a preference for privacy, he has faced invasive behavior from fans, including hacking incidents, impersonation, and unwanted contact with family members, which he has described as disconcerting.
