Blueprints in sounds, stones to sparks, lead to gold, with Hong-Kong-born, Utrecht-based electronic musician gyrofield.
By the latter half of the 1960s, The Beach Boys had emerged as America's preeminent pop group, and the only other band up to challenging the contemporary cultural and chart hegemony of The Beatles. Famed for their gorgeous harmonic vocals and pioneering production techniques, any pop music made since has a little Beach Boys in its DNA. This In Focus is a two hour sail through the timeless sunshine pop of The Beach Boys.

U-Tek was a side project of X-Marks the Pedwalk begun in 1989 by André Schmechta (a.k.a. Sevren Ni-Arb of X-Marks the Pedwalk), who used the alias Kevin Morgain for this project, and Alexis Schaar (a.k.a. AL/X/S, former producer for X Marks the Pedwalk). The idea of the project was to explore the fusion of Alexis's dance and club-music background with Schmechta's EBM background to create a sound different from what X.M.T.P. had previously been making.
Although U-Tek tracks appeared on dance compilations as late as 1999, nothing new was created after the third single (I Am Movin') meaning for all intents and purposes the project was abandoned in 1993.
